Check-In Requirements & Cutoff Times

Check-in Requirements & Cutoff Times
Recommended Check-In Times
If travel is completely within the Bahamas, recommended check-in time is at least two hours prior to departure.

For international flights, we also recommend that you arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to departure to allow sufficient time to complete all necessary international requirements.

Domestic Travel
In addition to checking in two hours before departure, you must be present at the departure gate and ready to board prior to scheduled departure time to retain your reservation and a seat. All Domestic Flights are closed 60 minutes before departure.

Seating & Baggage Acceptance
Customers must comply with minimum check-in requirements to retain their seats on the flight on which they are confirmed. Pre-reserved seats are subject to cancellation unless you have checked in (obtained a boarding pass) at least 60 minutes before scheduled departure.

For passengers checking bags, there are also baggage acceptance cutoff times. “Baggage acceptance cutoff time” means that customers must present themselves and their baggage to an airline representative for check-in no later than the stated cutoff times for the departure airport.

International Travel
For flights originating outside the Bahamas, you must check in two hours before departure and be present at the departure gate and ready to board at least one hour prior to scheduled departure time to retain your reservation and a seat. Standard baggage acceptance cutoff for flights originating in all airports outside the Bahamas is 90 minutes before departure.

For international departures from a U.S. city, standard baggage acceptance cutoff time is 60 minutes.
